The Short Answer

Key Takeaway

TRT Nation is the better fit if you already have recent labs and want injectable testosterone ($99.99 a month, 2.5-month minimum purchase) or TRT + HCG without a long commitment. Maximus fits men who want enclomiphene combined with testosterone, or a cream or oral option, and who will commit to a 6- or 12-month plan to get its $99.99 rate. On those longer plans, a year of injectable testosterone costs about the same at both. The real differences are commitment terms, how fertility is handled, and where you live.

TRT Nation vs Maximus at a Glance

We checked both clinics' own websites and help pages on October 12, 2026. Both were running first-month promotions that change often, so the table leaves them out.

Price: What You'll Actually Pay

Testosterone injections

TRT Nation lists testosterone at $99.99 a month with a "2.5 months minimum purchase." Its cancellation policy says purchased treatment "will be charged for the given 2.5 month period." It also says TRT Nation will not refill prescriptions automatically, so you request each refill.

Maximus's injectable testosterone page lists three plans: $199.99 for one month, $149.99 a month on a 3-month plan, and $99.99 a month on a 6-month plan. Its refund and subscription policy says plans renew automatically. You can turn off auto-renewal at any time, but committed plans can't be ended early or partly refunded. Maximus itself suggests that new patients start month-to-month.

So Maximus can match TRT Nation's $99.99 rate, but only if you commit to six months. Month-to-month, Maximus costs twice as much.

Enclomiphene

TRT Nation's enclomiphene plan is $99.99 a month for a 30-day supply of 25 mg capsules. The page doesn't state a minimum purchase, but the cancellation policy's 2.5-month wording isn't limited to testosterone. Ask before you buy.

Maximus's enclomiphene page lists $199.99 for one month, $149.99 a month for three months, and $99.99 a month on a 12-month plan. Its help-center price table also shows $99.99 a month on a 6-month plan, which is $599.94 at checkout. For more on what enclomiphene costs across providers, see our enclomiphene cost breakdown.

Year-one math

Here's a rough first year of injectable testosterone at the lowest-commitment price that reaches $99.99 a month at each clinic, before promotions. The lab counts follow each clinic's published schedule.

ScenarioTRT NationMaximus (6-month plans)
Medication, 12 months$1,199.88$1,199.88
Labs through the clinic3 panels × $129 = $387 (baseline, 10 weeks, 6 months)4 kits × $99–$99.99 = about $396–$400 (baseline, 1, 3 and 12 months)
Total with clinic labs$1,586.88about $1,596–$1,600
Total if your own labs are accepted$1,199.88$1,199.88

Our arithmetic uses each clinic's listed prices. TRT Nation's lab page lists its $129 panel without a separate follow-up price. Maximus also offers Quest draws at $19.99–$115 instead of kits. TRT Nation says labs are required "once yearly thereafter" without saying exactly when the first annual panel falls. If it lands at month 12, add one more $129 panel. Your prescriber may also order more or fewer labs than this, so run your own numbers before committing.

Labs: Bring Your Own vs At-Home Kits

TRT Nation keeps its lab process simple. You either submit your own labs or buy its $129 panel at Labcorp or Quest. The required markers are total testosterone, CBC, CMP, sensitive estradiol, and PSA for men over 40. TRT Nation's homepage FAQ says outside labs "can be up to 6 months old," but its FAQ page says "typically within 120 days." Plan around the stricter number. After you start, its FAQ requires bloodwork at 10 weeks, at six months, and then yearly.

Maximus gives you more lab options, and more fine print. Its lab policy page lists a $99 at-home kit (Maximus's lab-tests page says $99.99), a $19.99–$115 Quest draw, or bringing your own labs for free if they're from the last six months. Its testosterone pages ask for total testosterone, SHBG (or free T), LH, PSA and hematocrit. The at-home kit uses a device applied to the shoulder rather than a finger prick. Follow-up labs at about 1, 3 and 12 months, then yearly, aren't included in your subscription and are billed automatically unless you switch to bring-your-own labs.

If you already have a recent panel from your own doctor, both clinics can use it. Maximus also wants LH and SHBG (or free T), so you may need to ask your doctor to add them. TRT Nation also wants a CMP and estradiol, which aren't on Maximus's bring-your-own list. Our guide to clinics that accept outside labs covers how to order one panel that satisfies both.

Fertility: Enclomiphene, HCG and Combinations

Maximus says plainly that testosterone can suppress fertility. Its injectable page says injectable testosterone "suppresses natural production and sperm count, which may impact fertility." TRT Nation never says it directly. Its enclomiphene page implies it, saying enclomiphene "may support sperm production rather than suppress it, unlike traditional TRT." Where they differ is in what they offer to work around that.

TRT Nation: enclomiphene alone, or TRT + HCG

TRT Nation offers two separate routes. Enclomiphene on its own costs $99.99 a month. TRT + HCG costs $180 a month, which TRT Nation describes as a way to "maintain essential testicular function and fertility." Its site doesn't list enclomiphene combined with testosterone, gonadorelin, or clomiphene.

Maximus: enclomiphene alone, or enclomiphene plus testosterone

Maximus builds its fertility-minded options around enclomiphene, either alone or paired with testosterone cream, injections or oral testosterone. Pairings run from $149.98 to $299.98 a month depending on the combination and plan length. Its enclomiphene overview says "Maximus does not prescribe hCG alongside enclomiphene." The help-center price table does list an injectable testosterone + HCG plan, but the product pages we checked don't promote it. Confirm it's available to you before you plan around it.

What "compounded" means here

Both clinics fill prescriptions through compounding pharmacies. Maximus's pages state that "compounded medications are not approved or evaluated for safety, efficacy, or quality by the FDA," and the FDA's compounding Q&A says the same about every compounded drug. That includes the enclomiphene both clinics sell. As of the FDA's May 14, 2026 update, enclomiphene citrate is in Category 1 ("under evaluation") of the list of bulk substances nominated for 503A compounding. Category 1 means FDA hasn't yet decided whether the substance may be used in compounding. It is not an approval of enclomiphene as a drug.

The fertility claims on both sites ("Preserves Fertility," "Protects fertility and testicular function") are marketing. They aren't a guarantee for any one man. The evidence is covered in enclomiphene as a fertility-preserving alternative and our HCG and TRT guide. If you want children soon, get a semen analysis and talk with your prescriber before choosing either clinic.

States, Age and the Fine Print

  • States. TRT Nation's homepage FAQ says it operates everywhere except Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Missouri, North Dakota and Hawaii. Maximus's homepage and the help articles we checked don't list the states it serves. Its help center says eligibility "depends on your health profile and state regulations," so check during sign-up.
  • Age. TRT Nation treats patients 24 and older. Maximus's product pages say they're "not for use by women or anyone under 18." If you're 18 to 23, TRT Nation isn't an option.
  • Refunds. TRT Nation's cancellation policy reserves the right to a no-refund, no-return policy on purchases. Maximus doesn't refund shipped medication or the rest of a committed term, and says consultation and lab fees are non-refundable.
  • Membership. Maximus's homepage says "No membership fee." TRT Nation's plan prices don't include labs.

Who Should Pick Which

Pick TRT Nation if

  • You have labs from roughly the last four months with total T, CBC, CMP, estradiol and PSA.
  • You want injectable testosterone at $99.99 without committing to six months.
  • You want HCG with testosterone. At $180 a month, it's well below the TRT + HCG prices in Maximus's table.
  • You're 24 or older and don't live in one of the six states it doesn't serve.

Pick Maximus if

  • You want enclomiphene combined with testosterone, or a cream or oral form instead of injections.
  • You're under 24 (TRT Nation won't treat you) and a clinician agrees testosterone is appropriate. Maximus only says its products aren't for anyone under 18, and a clinician still decides eligibility. If you're young, ask about fertility first.
  • You live in a state TRT Nation doesn't serve and Maximus confirms it does.
  • You'd rather use an at-home kit than visit a lab.
  • You're comfortable committing to six or twelve months after a month-to-month trial.

If neither fits, the clinic comparison table covers more options.

The Bottom Line

If you start from labs you already have and want plain injectable TRT or TRT + HCG, TRT Nation is the simpler, lower-commitment choice. If you specifically want enclomiphene combined with testosterone, or a non-injection option, Maximus offers more, but you'll pay a lot more month-to-month unless you commit.

Before you pay either clinic, check that your state and age qualify, confirm in writing whether your existing labs will be accepted, and read the cancellation terms. Then take the clinic-matching quiz if you're still undecided.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which costs less month to month, TRT Nation or Maximus?

TRT Nation lists testosterone at $99.99 a month with a 2.5-month minimum purchase, while Maximus charges $199.99 month-to-month and reaches $99.99 a month only on a 6-month plan. Over a year on those terms, the totals come out about the same.

Does Maximus offer HCG with testosterone?

Maximus's enclomiphene overview says it does not prescribe hCG alongside enclomiphene. Its help-center price table lists an injectable testosterone + HCG plan from $299.98 a month on 6- or 12-month plans, so confirm availability with Maximus. TRT Nation's TRT + HCG plan is $180 a month with a 2.5-month minimum purchase.

Can I use my own labs at both clinics?

Yes, both accept outside labs from roughly the last six months, though TRT Nation's FAQ page says typically within 120 days. TRT Nation asks for total testosterone, CBC, CMP, sensitive estradiol and PSA for men over 40; Maximus asks for total testosterone, SHBG or free T, LH, PSA and hematocrit.

Is the enclomiphene from these clinics FDA-approved?

No. Both clinics fill prescriptions through compounding pharmacies, and compounded drugs are not FDA-approved. As of FDA's May 14, 2026 update, enclomiphene citrate is listed as a bulk substance under evaluation for 503A compounding.

I'm 22. Can I use TRT Nation?

No. TRT Nation says it only treats patients 24 and older. Maximus's product pages say they are not for anyone under 18, so it may be an option, but a clinician still decides eligibility.
